Lister Engine Pre-Heat Modification Kit

      We have shown that a simple, inexpensive modification kit can be made to efficiently raise the temperature of SVO to the required 200-225F temperature range.  Our design is easy to build and operate with a cost of $274.00.  Preliminary results show only a slight reduction of power output due to the lower power density of vegetable oil when compared to diesel fuel.  Testing will continue in order to understand the effects of SVO use on engine longevity.  Matt Basinger has planned to continue this research through his Ph.D proposal.
